About Quinten

My name is Quinten, a documentary and travel photographer based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. My personal work explores people, traditions and landscapes in remote corners of the world, with a particular interest in the relationship between communities and the places they call home.

Travel has always been a way for me to look beyond the familiar. Half Dutch and half Belgian, I grew up between different countries, from Bruges and Antwerp to Zürich and Maastricht. That international upbringing has shaped the way I see the world and continues to fuel my curiosity about how people live, work and preserve traditions in places far from home.

Through photography, I try to document these encounters in an honest and considered way. I am drawn to the quieter moments of travel: everyday life, local rituals, changing landscapes and the small details that reveal something about a place and its people.

Alongside my personal work, I work as a wedding photographer, documenting weddings across the Netherlands and Europe. Travel photography, however, remains a personal and ongoing body of work through which I continue to explore the world and develop my photographic voice.
